What is an ‘ImmiAccount’?

ImmiAccount is the Department of Home Affairs online visa application portal, available for use to the general public as well as Registered Migration Agents and sponsoring employers.

Creating an ImmiAccount allows the user to draft, lodge and manage most types of visa applications; including features such as uploading documentation, and updating personal details such as address and contact details.

Some visa types are still paper-based (hard copy rather than digital), but the majority of visa applications are lodged online through ImmiAccount. It’s also possible to make visa application payments online using ImmiAccount for paper-based applications.

If you are using a Registered Migration Agent then you will not need to create an ImmiAccount as the Agent will lodge and manage your visa application in their organisation’s ImmiAccount.
